Dr. Christina Matschke

Christina Matschke studied psychology at the Friedrich-Schiller-University of Jena. Between 2006 and 2007 she was a researcher in the junior research group "Motivational and cognitive determinants of Social Discrimination" at the University of Jena. At the same time, she started working on her Ph.D. project "The inclusion of a new group into the self-concept”. In March 2007 Christina went to the Netherlands for eight months to continue working on her project in the department of Organizational and Social Psychology at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. In November 2007, she came to work in the Social Processes lab at the Knowledge Media Research Center in Tuebingen, where she graduated in July 2009. Between 2009 and 2012 she coordinated the cooperation project “Patterns and Tools for Non-Governmental Organizations” as a post-doc in the Knowledge Construction lab. Since June 2012 her project “determinants and consequences of identity development” is funded by the Wrangell-Habilitationsprogram of the state Baden-Württemberg. Her project is part of the project „The impact of social identities on cognitive, behavioral, and affective development” where integration processes and learning processes are investigated.
